Tatuaje Black Label Corona Gorda

The cigar Pete Johnson built Tatuaje around — a Pepin Garcia Nicaraguan rolled at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, finished with a sun-grown Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The Black Label is the line's flagship boutique release: small runs, no national push, and a cult following that has been buying every release since 2008.

Dark cocoa and saddle leather across the first third, a long middle of cedar and brown sugar, a clean finish without the heat-spike that ends most Nicaraguans. Medium-Full strength — heavier than the Tatuaje Brown Label but lighter than the No. 9. Burn is 50–70 minutes.

Carried at Briarwood since the 2011 release. Current stock is the 2024 box run. Members can preorder the 2025 release at the counter; it ships to the lounge in October.
